Company History

Jordan & Faber Ltd (Building Contractors) was founded in 2002. The company has grown year on year with significant growth in recent years under the current management structure of Andrew Faber (Managing Director), Paul Bastable (Contracts Director) and Ami Faber (Finance Director).

From our head office in Sturminster Newton, Dorset and offices at Amesbury Wiltshire we cover Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire. We are specialists in working in controlled environments and our core business is carried out on Military Bases throughout Dorset and Wiltshire. We are approved contractors for many facilities management companies including Aspire Defence, Amey Defence, Landmarc and Interserve.  We are also approved contractors for several other large companies such as Wessex Water, Sherborne Boys School along with several residential nursing homes and local authorities. Projects range from minor works right up to two million pound projects.

In the private sector our business specialises in high end properties and we have a proven track record and wealth of experience in both newbuilds and refurbishments. Working alongside our vast network of tried and tested Consultants, suppliers and subcontractors we can provide our clients with a comprehensive service from design conception to completion and can tailor our services to meet our client’s exact requirements.

We have an established management team of dedicated Contracts Managers and Site Managers most of whom have been with the company for many years. Each of our clients are served by an experienced Contracts Manager, responsible for all aspects from pricing, planning and managing the works to preparing final accounts.

Our clients benefit from having one point of contact who is fully conversant with all aspects of a project. Through this approach we are able to tailor our services to meet our clients exact requirements and deliver a high quality, efficient and cost effective service. This enables us to develop long term relationships with our clients based on honesty, openness and performance.

Our site based, directly employed Site Managers and tradesmen at all levels are given the opportunity to develop and grow with the company. We seek to ensure that all employees are engaged in achieving their goals, which in turn helps the company to grow and maintain success. Our workforce is therefore highly trained with health and safety being at the core of our business. We are members of the Dorset Training Forum and work closely with them to manage our training programme. We are also guided by our external Health & Safety Consultants Seguro Management Ltd. We have Constructionline Gold and SafeContractor accreditations.

Over many years we have developed long terms relationships with our specially selected subcontractors and suppliers and they have effectively become an extension of our company. Quality is therefore consistent and costs are improved through scale and efficiency.

Over the last 17 years the Company’s turnover has steadily increased year on year with significant growth over the past 4no years following the company’s restructuring. This has laid the foundations for our future expansion of the business which we will continue to closely manage, with our focus on delivering all projects on programme, safely and to the high quality required by ourselves and our clients.
